Christmas

We had many wonderful celebrations for Christmas this year.

We started at Grandma and Grandpa Murray's.  The kids were so excited, yet were patient through brunch in the basement and again were as equally excited to open gifts as they were to give them.  Keeping with tradition, Nolan vomited as soon as we started opening gifts.  We let Matt and Nicole's family open their gifts and promptly leave before the rest of us started opening ours.

James was ecstatic about his Batman toy from Nolan.  He would play with it, open another gift, and go back to playing with it.  Madelyn screamed when she opened her Elsa doll.  I have to say giving them gifts is rewarding!  Tom and Mary were so generous with us as well.  In addition to a large gift of money, they are treating all of the grandkids and parents to a trip in the Dells!

The next celebration was at Grandma and Grandpa Evenson's.  Madelyn was so in love with her cousin Taylor.  She had to ride in the car with her and wanted to be with her nonstop.  It reminds me of how much I adored my cousins when they were babies.

The kids had fun opening gifts.  I was particularly proud of James.  He passed out the gifts to everyone and he was the VERY last person to receive a gift.  He did try to open other people's gifts a few times but he maintained a ton of patience for a 2 year old, in my opinion!
Madelyn helping out her cousin Taylor!  She was eating Avocado for one of the first times!

We then went home to Wauwatosa for Christmas Eve.  Madelyn performed with the Praise Kids and melted me heart! We went home and had a nice meal together, set out cookies for Santa, and Casey and I got everything ready for the morning!

Santa brought the kids a bounce house!

We then headed back to Janesville for more celebrating.  We went to Nana and Papa's house for presents and lunch.

It was a Frozen Christmas for Madelyn!

It was so fun to spend time with Taylor.  She is more animated and fun with each visit.  She had the brightest smile and was such a happy little girl.  One night she had some trouble sleeping and I took a turn rocking her and holding her.  There is something so precious about a sleeping baby and I cherished my time rocking with her!

Taylor's first Christmas!  What a treat to get to share it with her!

We made Taylor a board book of all of her family members!  We want her to know who we are!

Still no contest.  These are the greatest gifts I've received.  Hands. Down!

Christmas 2014.
