James you have the biggest smile, the best laugh, and a true love of life. You love to explore and get down and dirty. You are all boy thru and thru.
After moving into our new house, you discovered how much fun it is to mow the lawn!
You love dogs and point them out when ever you see them. Woof woof was an early word for you.
You have zero fear (except of people in costume). Playing at the playground is a little nerve racking. You try to walk down the slides and seem willing to try anything out.
You helped plant our garden and climbed right in. It sort of seemed like a sandbox to you.
You are such a big boy and picnic like a big kid. We walked to Elm Grove park a lot this summer.
This water was for Marley. You quickly made it for you!
Having a yard, also meant we could have a pool. The first few times we used it we filled it about half way full. You enjoyed wading around but weren't your wild self. Then while draining it one day it the pool depth got to just a few inches. You went crazy. Diving on your belly. Leaping and kicking. You had a blast!
Popcorn is your favorite!
The Wauwatosa 4th of July Parade. It was your first parade, and you were pretty intrigued, until the mascots came along. Then you were terrified. You turned around so we were belly to belly. You buried your head in my shoulder and would peek behind you checking that they were not sneaking up on you.
Bastille Days
You love to eat. But when you are done, you are done. You throw all of the food off the tray as fast as you can. Then Marley scrambles around to gobble it up as fast as he can. Marley gets hit every so often.
Tailgating with your popcorn at the Brewer's game. You thought you were so cool in your lawn chair!
My boys!
We took Marley to the dog park and you hiked the trails like such a big kid.
I love your great big smile. You say cheese whenever I pull out the camera.
First time coloring and doing stickers. It started out well.
But then you decided to eat the markers. You were so mad I took them away.
First time eating with a spoon independently. You want to do everything by yourself now. You get so angry if I cut up food or even put it on your plate. You want to serve yourself and feed yourself.
You are a very good boy when we go out to eat....as long as you don't have to wait too long for the food.
Roasting marshmallows for the first time!
You love your little car and going for walks. When we leave the house, you frequently request the 'car' and arch your back as I place you in your car seat. You'd much rather be at the wheel yourself!
First time licking the egg beater after making chocolate chip cookies. YUM!
I love seeing you playing.
You love Marley.
And he's so patient with you. I was making supper and turned around to see you riding Marley. He didn't want to pose for any pictures.
Playing with cousin Nolan.
You love balls!
Helping in the kitchen!
You love playing hide and seek and are way too good at it. You will hide on me and remain completely quite. There have been numerous times I've checked a room for you and left thinking you must be somewhere else, only to return to find you in that room later. Closets are your favorite.
You've developed an opinion and you express when things don't go your way.
You adore your sister and want to do whatever she is doing. Watching the two of you together makes me feel like the luckiest mama around. You are the sweetest!
